Sanjarah Estate is a wonderful property set in Mida Forest at the southern end of beautiful Watamu in Kenya. The property is only a few minutes walk to the serene Mida Creek and a 20 minute walk to the gorgeous beaches of Watamu.
You have the choice of two properties in Sanjarah Estate – Sanjarah Cottage which sleeps four people and Sanjarah Villa which sleeps six people.
Sanjarah Cottage – sleeps four people
The cottage is a little oasis, set in a private, walled garden with a gorgeous swimming pool, entertaining areas and a long veranda with dreamy day-beds. The wonderfully designed open plan kitchen and living area, look out to the pool and lush garden.
The two double bedrooms, with ensuites, both have mosquito nets and fans and there is a desk, plenty of storage space and WIFI is provided.
The kitchen comes fully equipped for self-catering and including essentials. The cottage comes fully staffed and will be cleaned daily, along with the pool. For an additional fee, a chef can be arranged.

Sanjarah Villa – sleeps six people
The villa is simply stunning. It’s set at the back of the property in a walled garden and its extremely private. It’s a three-bedroom villa with air conditioning – two of the bedrooms have queen sized double beds with ensuites and the third bedroom has two single beds with a shared bathroom and an overhead ceiling fan – all beds are enclosed within a mosquito net.
All rooms overlook the sparkling swimming pool and there is a long, shady verandah with three dreamy days beds. Best of all there is magical roof top terrace, which is a charming place to escape to anytime of day, but especially at sunrise and sunset. It’s the perfect place for yoga, a massage or just reading a book with a wonderful view of the surrounding forest.
The open plan kitchen, living room and dining room are beautifully decorated with local artefacts and artwork. There is good WIFI and first-class cookware, crockery and kitchenware. The kitchen is very well stocked for self-catering but we can also provide a chef for a separate fee. Our staff will clean the villa and pool on a daily basis.
